Pre-fabricated semi-custom window sills are almost de rigeur in Europe and are almost always used since windows are generally inset from the face of the exterior wall at least six inches.  They are made from uPVC, aluminum, steel, aglomorates, real stone, and MDF.  There is usually just a slight slope to them to facilitate the drainage of rain.  With careful planning and integration into a window package design, these components can be a cost effective solution for North America if the design calls for inset windows.  In this way, costly custom sheet metal work can be avoided.

WINDOW SILLS

HIGH PERFORMANCE WINDOWS + DOORS

Our MDF interior window sills are made with the latest generation of waterproof MDF. MDF is a wood-based product containing organic compounds cured under heat and pressure. This material is of uniform density and composition with high strength and dimensional stability.  It is highly resistant to humidity  and temperature changes.

There is a choice of twenty mostly faux wood finishes, all with a clear lacquer topcoat.

Only available in a 20 mm thickness with a maximum width of 50 cm and a maximum length of 2.8 meters. The minimum width and length are 250 mm and 150 mm, respectively.

Marble aglomerate is an industrial product created by the combination of selected fragments of natural stone (approx. 95% by weight) with special polyester resins (approx. 5% by weight) that are the binder for this material. This material can only be used indoors!!!

Choice of nine variation types from course to fine makes it possible to create a coordinated interior.

Sills with thicknesses of 20 mm and 30mm are available. Widths up to 300 mm and lengths up to 3.0 meters are available.  The weight of one square meter of 20 mm-thick material is 52 kg.  For the 30 mm-thick material, it is 78 kg.

It's difficult to surpass real stone for its beauty and luxuriousness.  Our offering of real stone sills is available in eleven types of granite, and four types of marble--natural variations should be expected. These stone sills can be used outdoors or indoors, keeping in mind that they have to be appropriately surface treated with special sealers and waxes for their intended use.

Sills with thicknesses of 20 mm and 30mm are available, with varying widths and lengths available depending on availability.  The weight of one square meter of 20 mm-thick material is 55 kg.  For the 30 mm-thick material, it is 83 kg.
