The selection of HST Lift & Slide doors is available in every profile system of our uPVC, wood, aluminum, and steel offering, EXCEPT for the uPVC Basik 70 and the steel lnnovativ-ST 60. These doors are designed for Patio, Terrace, and Deck access. At first sight, they look just like a normal "American" slider, but on closer look, they are very different due to their robust operating hardware and smoothness. The sliding action works by turning the large handle which lifts the entire sash upwards slightly and engages the roller mechanism.  At any point when opened, the handle can be turned back to the resting position which lowers the sash and fixes it in place--at this point, the partially opened sash cannot be moved unless the lifted again.
